The University of Exeter requires applicants for Masters programmes (MA, MSc, MRes, MBA, MPA, LLM) to hold a Bachelors degree, usually in a relevant subject, with a grade equivalent to a UK upper second class honours. Students who do not meet these entry requirements may be able to take a Graduate Diploma programme as an alternative entry route into a Masters in Business, Finance, Law or Public Administration. Applicants for postgraduate research programmes (MPhil, PhD, EdD) will need to demonstrate experience of research methodologies. For this reason, often, successful research applicants will have completed a Masters degree with a thesis or dissertation component. All applications for postgraduate degrees should be made via the “Apply on-line” button on the webpage for each course. Applications can be made up to 12 months before the start date. Taught Masters programmes have a single intake in September each year. Research students may be able to start at other times, with their supervisor’s agreement.
