You will need:
- A UK first or second class Honours degree in a relevant subject area or
- An equivalent international qualification or
- Relevant work experience in combination with a degree below second class Honours.
Applicants should have or expect to gain a UK 1st or upper 2nd class degree or equivalent in aeronautical or mechanical engineering. An MSc or experience in numerical modelling, thermodynamics, fatigue and fracture, gas turbine technology, and computer programming skills will be an advantage. The PhD candidate is expected to start in mid-April 2016 or as soon as possible.
