We require a minimum TOEFL score of 80 on the Internet-based test. Teaching Assistants must score a minimum of 107 on the Internet-based test

The Graduate School requires three letters of recommendation from people who can comment authoritatively on your academic achievements and/or work or internship experience related to your program.
A motivation letter must be added to your application.
Complete set of your undergraduate and graduate transcripts. At minimum, one or more of the following is required:

A member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and ranked #37 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Binghamton University’s doctoral program in clinical psychology combines coursework, research training and practical clinical skills in a rigorous curriculum that allows for independence, responsibility and self-determination in areas of specialization. Students are expected to contribute new knowledge to the field and hone their skills in a variety of settings, from academic to direct-service provision.
Our program is highly competitive and students should be self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Potential candidates will be invited for interviews on campus, with travel compensation from the department; Skype interviews are available for students currently overseas.
Students may be admitted with a tuition scholarship and stipends for serving as research or teaching assistants. In many cases, teaching assistantships include health insurance and a tuition scholarship. Students that remain in good standing are eligible for up to 5 years of funding.
