(1.) You should have the equivalent or above of a 2:2 UK bachelor’s honours degree in one of the following subjects: Digital Design, Multimedia Design, Animation, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Computer Arts, Computer Technology, Digital Marketing or a related subject. If you have other professional qualifications and industry experience we will consider your application on an individual basis.
You must have a suitable portfolio of digital or visual communications work and some experience of using multimedia software tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects. Ideally, you will also have experience of using 3D software such as Autodesk MAYA or 3DMax. (2.) Two references, one recent academic reference and one work-related. DMU will accept two academic references if you do not have any work experience. (4.) Copies of your qualification certificates and/or transcripts from the age of 15/16. (5.) Evidence of your English language ability (if English is not your first language), such as a copy of your IELTS or Cambridge certificate. If you are due to take English language tests, please tell the university the dates of these. You will need to send us the results when they become available. (6.) A photocopy or scan of the photograph page of your passport

Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take verified copies of the entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
If English is not your first language an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent when you start the course is essential. English Language tuition, delivered by our British Council accredited Centre for English Language Learning, is available both before and throughout the course if you need it.
