The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
You must take verified copies of the entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
Applicants whose native language is not English must pass the TOEFL with a score of 100 (iBT) or higher or the IELTS with an overall score of 7.0 or higher.
At least 2 reference(s) must be provided.
Pitt requires two (2) recommendations from a professional relationship. The online application provides a mechanism for obtaining these electronically as well as the ability to print a form if your recommender chooses to submit a traditional paper recommendation. If your recommender chooses to submit a paper recommendation, please request that they complete the form provided in addition to any personal letter that they may wish to enclose. The recommender should place the completed form in an envelope and write their signature across the sealed flap of the envelope. Although they prefer that the completed recommendation be given back to you and placed, unopened, in your self- managed application packet, they will accept recommendations that are mailed directly to their office. The recommendations must be originals. They will neither accept recommendations that have been faxed or sent via email nor will we accept any recommendation that has been opened. Notification will be sent to each recommender to acknowledge our receipt of the recommendation.
A motivation letter must be added to your application.
