Overview

Polytechnic Institute of New York University is a private research university located in Brooklyn, NY. Established in 1854 as Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, it is the second-oldest private engineering school in the United States. In 2008 the school officially became affiliated with New York University under the name Polytechnic Institute of NYU.

NYU-Poly is one of the ten schools in the NYU Entrepreneurs Network (NYUEN). Currently, NYU Poly has over 4,600 students who can select programs from 10 departments, including finance and risk engineering and technology management and innovation. Polytechnic Institute of New York University competes in NCAA Division III athletics, and its teams are known as the Fighting Blue Jays.

Palladium is a dynamic community consisting of approximately 960 residents (primarily sophomores with approximately 120 MBA students) as well as students from all years living on any of our five Explorations themed floors: NYC Spotlight, NYU Athletics, Science and Technology, The International House, and Choices. At Palladium, we have 22 Resident Assistants and two Faculty Fellows In Residence, Richard Hendler and Linda Herrmann.

Commonly known as the “Grad Halls,” NYU graduate residential student community is comprised of two halls: Washington Square Village (WSV) and Stuyvesant Town (StuyTown). The Grad Halls are a diverse community of graduate students at NYU with approximately 250 residents and seven Resident Assistants. They strive to be a support system and important resource for our residential students.
